OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Washington State Department of Health has thrown out approximately $1.5 million worth of pandemic supplies.
According to the Associated Press, 15 other states have also thrown out their stock piles of pandemic supplies.
The Department of Health reported that they have thrown out more than 300,000 gloves, over $14 million in disposable gowns and over $5 million worth of surgical masks.
The Department of Health also threw out expired supplies with little market value and little demand from hospitals.
