LEWISTON, Idaho. – Lewiston Fire Department engineer Nick Stevens looks back on his accomplishments and career, and gives a bittersweet goodbye to his crew.

“I was successful because of the people who brought me up in this job – I can’t thank them enough,” Stevens says when reflecting with his team.

On Feb. 24th, Stevens will give his final goodbyes after a long and successful 30-years of service at the Lewiston Fire Department as an engineer.

His service goes beyond just the fire department as he also volunteers at Habitat for Humanity. He also enjoys college baseball and serves as an umpire.

Stevens used his passions and started the first pipes and drums group at the fire department, but he plans to spend his retirement, as he says, “bugging his wife.”
