A significant warming trend is on the way. Temperatures haven’t gotten out of the 40s much this week, but we’ll see a 20 to 30 degree jump in temperatures over the weekend!
Plan Your Friday
It’s another cold start with temperatures around freezing, but the warm-up will be a lot faster. Expect highs in the 50s to around 60 this afternoon under mostly sunny skies.
What We’re Tracking
The big story is the warmth building through the weekend. By Monday, highs will soar into the 70s on Sunday afternoon in the Spokane area. Highs in the 80s aren’t out of the question in the Columbia Basin from Sunday through Tuesday.
This rapid warming will cause mountain snow to melt, pushing river flows back up next week. Rain chances then increase for the middle of next week while temperatures drop back into the 50s and 60s.
