
SANDPOINT, Idaho –
UPDATE: The Boundary County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that the suspect is in custody.
ORIGINAL STORY FROM THIS MORNING:
People in the Samuels area of North Idaho are being asked to lock their doors and look out for anyone they don’t recognize, as a manhunt is underway.
According to the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office, they are searching for a person who fired shots at law enforcement early Wednesday morning.
Deputies responded to a domestic violence call just after 2:30 a.m. and while they were investigating, shots were fired at law enforcement.
No injuries were reported.
The area is north of Sandpoint.
Dispatchers say people should avoid the area and be on the lookout for anyone they don’t recognize, specifically in the area of Sandcreek Parkway and Highway 95.
