COEUR D’ ALENE, Idaho – A California man was arrested in Kootenai County carrying a large sum of marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms.
On early Thursday morning of Feb. 8, a Kootenai County Sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop in the area of Interstate 90 and Northwest Blvd.
According to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, the driver was identified as Mackenzie A. Ivers, a 39-year-old male from Willitts, California.
During the investigation, the deputy located approximately 12 pounds of marijuana and approximately 20.5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms inside the vehicle.
Ivers was placed under arrest for trafficking marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
Ivers also had a non-extraditable warrant out of Jacksonville, Illinois.
