SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — David DePape has testified in the federal trial against him over last year’s attack against former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband. DePape told jurors Tuesday that he went to the Pelosis’ home as part of a larger plan to end corruption in the United States. He has pleaded not guilty to attempted kidnapping of a federal official and assault on the immediate family member of a federal official with intent to retaliate against the official for performance of their duties. Paul Pelosi testified Monday, recounting the attack publicly for the first time.
