
SPOKANE, Wash. — Today, Visit Spokane announced the county had record visitation and economic impact in 2025.
Total visitor spending in Spokane County reached a record of $1.55 billion, marking a 1.4% increase over 2024, according to a new report by Tourism Economics.
It breaks down the spending across various sectors:
Food & Beverage: $416 million
Lodging: $554 million
Retail: $350 million
Transport: $133 million
Recreation/Entertainment: $121 million
“For 50 years, Visit Spokane has been welcoming visitors and promoting our region, and that work continues to pay off, said Rose Noble, President & CEO, Visit Spokane. Tourism strengthens local businesses, supports thousands of jobs, and brings lasting benefits to our community. We are excited to keep that momentum going.”
Visit Spokane wrote in a press release, that the city welcomed 10.2 million visitors, a 1.8% increase over the previous year. Adding, ‘the 1.4% growth in visitor spending equates to about $242 million in tax revenue, which provides tax relief to the people who live in Spokane County. The tourism agency says to put that in perspective, each Spokane County household would need to pay $1,100 in taxes to replace it.
