Current weather conditions:

Round one will deliver widespread, heavy snowfall overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning, creating major concerns for your morning commute.

Round two moves in mid-morning, keeping the snow machine going through the afternoon and impacting your evening commute.

In addition, treacherous driving conditions are expected for mountain passes through the end of the week. Please be prepared for winter travel with the proper tires on your vehicle and a set of chains in your trunk.

National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the Cascades (2-3 feet), northern mountains of Washington, Idaho and Montana (6-8″ snow), as well a Spokane/CDA metro (8-12″ snow), the Palouse (6-8″ snow) and foothills of the Blue mountains.

Temperatures will continue to climb into the upper 20s and low to mid 30s for the end of the week and weekend, transitioning our snow to a rain/snow mix and possibly freezing rain Thursday through Saturday and then just rain by Sunday.
