AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — People within the community are offering resources to those who have needed to evacuate their homes due to the fires burning around eastern Washington.

In the City of Airway Heights Fairchild Air Force Base has resources available.

From their Facebook page it states, “For Airman and families who need it, there are 100 hot meals soon to be available at the EFAC (located at the Red Morgan Center). First come First serve.”

Also, a local resident will be offering free sandwiches at “the back of the Walmart parking lot next to the Red Bull pit stop. We will be handing out free sandwiches to anyone who wants them. We’ll be here until about 3:00 p.m.”

There will be disposable masks at the Walmart for anyone who is having breathing problems due to the poor air quality.

If you are in need of food or resources you can visit these locations.

More resources available will be updated as we find more.
