AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. – A longtime resident of Airway Heights was charged with four counts of second-degree child molestation after victims came forward.

Ronald R. Trujillo, 60, pled guilty to the charges after accepting a deal for 100 months of jail time.

The investigation began over two years ago when a child Trujillo was babysitting claimed they were inappropriately touched.

During the length of the investigation into Trujillo, three other victims were uncovered with similar reports.

One of the victims being an adult who had been molested as a minor but due to the statute of limitations, no charges were brought against him.

Trujillo appeared in court back in December of 2022 and was released on court terms. He later violated his terms of release when authorities discovered he was still living with minors.

A nationwide warrant for his arrest was made and he was taken into custody a few days later in New Mexico.

Authorities later flew to New Mexico to extradite Trujillo back to Spokane County jail where he was recently charged.
