Person found in stranded car with possible frostbite

BOUNDARY COUNTY, Idaho — Boundary Ambulance rescued a 35-year-old man who was stranded with possible frostbite.

According to a Facebook post by Boundary Ambulance, South Boundary Fire Protection and law enforcement arrived and found the road blocked by an inhabited vehicle.

Search and Rescue was able to locate the patient and transport them by snowmobile. The patient was tried for cold exposure and transported to BCH in stable condition.

The temperature recorded when they came in connection with the patient was -27 degrees. With the cold snap, medical officials strongly advise everyone to limit travel and prepare themselves and their vehicles for emergencies.
