Medical examiner identifies man shot and killed at home near Moran Prairie

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane County Medical Examiner has identified the man that was shot and killed near Moran Prairie early Wednesday morning.

53-year-old Willie Anderson died of a gunshot wound to the torso and his manner of death was ruled as a homicide.

Just after 3 a.m. on Jan. 24, Spokane police responded to a call of a man who was shot at his home in the 3300 block of east 55th Avenue.

Despite life-saving measures done by police and medical personnel, Willie Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene.

22-year-old Cody Low was detained and charged with second degree murder in connection to this crime.

Low is currently in Spokane County Jail without bond and is set to make his first court appearance on Jan. 25.
