SPOKANE, Wash. – A man is in custody after assaulting someone at the Fred Myer on Wandermere Thursday afternoon.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), a former store employee was approached by management and became agitated. The man began throwing things around before grabbing a saw and started to swing it.
SCSO said one person was hit and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect was taken into custody on two counts of second-degree assault.
Fred Myer will remain closed as law enforcement continues to investigate.
