LEWISTON, Idaho — A man accused of drug trafficking nearly two pounds of methamphetamine has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Lewiston police officers arrested 49-year-old Nickolas Jacobson in 2018 during a traffic stop. During the stop officers located “recorded money from a controlled buy in his vehicle.”
As detectives were granted a search warrant, they began to search Jacobson’s home.
Once inside, detectives found guns, a large amount of drug paraphernalia, digital scales, pipes, baggies and 600 grams of methamphetamine inside a safe.
Jacobson appeared in court on Nov. 16 for his charge of drug trafficking with nearly a pound and a half of meth.
Drug trafficking with over 400 pounds of methamphetamine is 10 years to life and a maximum fine of $100,000.
In Nez Perce County District Court, Nickolas Jacobson was sentenced to 15 years in prison with a minimum of 10 years before becoming eligible for parole with a $25,000 fine.
