SPRAGUE, Wash. — One person is dead and two are injured after a fatal rollover crash on I-90 near Sprague Thursday morning.

Washington State Patrol troopers responded to the crash around 8 a.m. this morning.

The crash was on eastbound I-90, about four miles east of Sprague, and partially blocked the roadway for several hours.

The crash was originally reported as an injury rollover crash involving one vehicle. But just after two hours of being on scene, troopers updated the incident to a fatality collision.

According to WSP, the vehicle was traveling eastbound when the driver lost control of the car, entering the median and rolling onto the side of the road.

Medics arrived on scene and provided aid to all involved in the single vehicle rollover crash. All three occupants of the vehicle were transported to the hospital, but despite their efforts a 22-year-old man from George succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, we don’t know the condition of the other two occupants. But WSP has reported that the cause of the crash was due to speed.

Washington State Patrol and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating the cause of the crash.

This is breaking news. Information will be updated as we learn more.
