BOISE, Idaho- Idaho Governor Brad Little ordered that flags across the state be flown at half-staff today in honor of Emmett resident Benjamin Moulton, who died along with four fellow marines in a helicopter crash on Feb. 6.

The crash occurred in southern California during a routine training exercise.

Moulton, who served as a captain in the armed forces, has a long family history in the Gem State. Little articulated his appreciation for the deceased soldier’s life and military career.

“Throughout his life, Capt. Moulton made his family, community, and state proud with his many achievements and his devotion to the U.S. Marine Corps and our great country,” Little said.

Flags will remain lowered throughout Idaho until Feb. 14.
