KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho – Concealed weapon permits have moved from being issued at the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office to driver’s license locations in Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls.
Permit applications and renewals will still be administered through the sheriff’s office website, but the physical application will now take place at the two licensing offices.
Idaho has some of the most open concealed carry laws in the nation, allowing for adult citizens without criminal records to carry concealed weapons on their person or in their vehicle without a permit.
