WASHINGTON D.C.- Today Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers plans to nominate Congressman Mike Johnson for speaker.
Her office confirmed early Tuesday morning, Johnson is a Republican from Louisiana.
When nominated the congresswoman will present not only her reason for supporting him but a synopsis of his career. Previously former Speaker McCarthy nominated Representative Jim Jordan who failed to get enough votes.
Our congresswoman supported Jordan on all three votes.
