SPOKANE, Wash. – If you use Barker Road to cross I-90 in Spokane Valley, you will need to use another route Sunday night, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).

The Barker Road Bridge will close on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 9 p.m. and reopen on Monday, Oct. 9 at 2 a.m.

WSDOT crews plan to close the bridge at each roundabout, repairing the concrete barrier of the bridge overnight. The Barker Road on-ramps, off-ramps and the roundabouts to access I-90 will remain open during this closure.

WSDOT advises that you plan ahead and use alternative routes to avoid delays. Drivers can use North Flora Road to the west or Kramer Parkway to the east to cross I-90.
