Avista Utility Company is asking all customers to conserve natural gas for the next 24 hours as a result of a mechanical issue.
The Utility Company said there is an issue with a pipeline supplier is affecting their natural gas supply.
Avista is asking all customers to set thermostats at a lower setting and limit their use of hot water. Avista said their system is safe and was not damaged by the third party’s equipment.
“We are doing all we can to maintain natural gas system operations, and we will provide updates as more information is available from the supplier,” Avista said in a press release.
