SPOKANE, Wash. – 20 years ago, Blue Door Theatre opened up its doors in downtown Spokane. Now in early 2024, they will be opening their doors back up, but before that, they will be showing us a sneak peak of its new location.

On Dec. 11 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., the public will have a chance to visit the open house walk-through event at its new location, downtown Milk Bottle, at 319 South Cedar Street.

Anyone who registers online in advance at their website HERE will be entered in a raffle for a $200 gift certificate for improv classes and free tickets to a show!

The new location will have two performance rooms, four classrooms, two green rooms, a café and three bathrooms.

As the Blue Door Theatre officially opens in 2024, they will have their first show on Jan. 5, which will be a game show with a twist Unlike a normal game, these contestants will be trying to lose and the best loser wins!

The last shows at the old Garland location will be on Dec. 16 at 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The shows at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. will be free with a donation, while the 7:30 p.m. show will be $9 for mature audience members only.

The Blue Door Theatre started in downtown Spokane in 1996. It was dubbed the “Blue Door Theatre” because the old building had a blue door.

Then in 2003, they moved to the Garland location and now in 2024, they will be moving to their new downtown spot because of the popularity they gained!
