Zag students and faculty get ready for Vegas weekend events and tournament

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Today, members of the Kennel Club (KC) at Gonzaga are flying out to Vegas to support the Zags at the WCC tournament.

Many have already purchased their Vegas packs, which include wristbands granting access to KC events in Vegas. They also receive decks of cards featuring the “WCC Vegas Trip” design on the back, created by the KC graphic designer.

They anticipate approximately 500 students and alumni making the trip to support their team. Some students even took their midterms early to head down and assist in setting things up in Vegas.

Numerous Vegas events are scheduled to take place at the Orleans Hotel, specifically in the Mardi Gras ballroom.

On Sunday, March 10, at 10 a.m., a mass will be held ahead of the significant games.

On Monday, March 11, a Zag-up pep rally will precede the men’s and women’s games, featuring performances by students, including the dance and cheer teams, the bomb squad, and the bulldog band.

Expect music, announcements, a hot dog and sliders buffet, and perhaps some unnamed special guests—all in the spirit of Zags ahead of their tournament games.

Tickets are priced at $50, with $10 allocated to student scholarships. You can purchase your tickets at the door.
