OLYMPIA, Wash. – A group of exotic dancers called on lawmakers to move a senate bill that protects adult dancers and cuts their fees and surcharges in a protest at the state Capitol building Tuesday morning.

Senate Bill 6105, referred to by protesters as the “Strippers’ Bill of Rights,” would also require strip clubs to provide additional training, security and implement more safety measures for dancers.

In addition, SB 6105 would limit charges that clubs collect from dancers.

Under the legislation, clubs that follow these guidelines could become eligible for liquor licenses.

The bill has passed the Senate and has moved on to a House committee.
