AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. – The road is now reopened.

A vehicle versus pedestrian crash has closed eastbound lanes of US 2 near South Craig Road.
The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, according to Washington State Patrol (WSP). WSP said the driver remained on scene and is cooperating with police.
The Spokane County Sheriffs Office and Airway Heights Police are on the scene monitoring and directing traffic. The WSP primary is also on scene.
Upon initial investigation, no drugs or alcohol appear to be involved in this crash. According to WSP, the pedestrian was not walking in a crosswalk.
WSP estimates the road will reopen in 20-30 minutes. This incident remains under investigation.
