Truck hits utility pole near George in Grant county

GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — Grant County Sheriff’s Office has responded to a vehicle versus utility pole on Beverly Burke Road SW that has closed a portion of the roadway.

GCSO reported that Beverly Burke Road SW has been closed between South Frontage Road and Frenchman Hills Road while they investigate the incident.

Around 11 a.m., law enforcement responded to a non-injury crash where a truck allegedly hit a utility pole.

At this time Grant County Public Utility District is on scene replacing the pole, but have not released if there are residents without power.

The road is expected to be reopened around 1 p.m.
