SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane County Medical Examiner has confirmed the identity of a 3-year-old boy who was found dead in Spokane last month.

The examiner’s office identified the child as Wesley Brenston-Studebaker on Monday.

Spokane police tried to save Studebaker when they responded, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Brenston-Studebaker’s cause and manner of death are still pending.

Authorities arrested John Jones, 38, in Las Vegas earlier this week. He is facing extradition to Spokane. Police haven’t specified when he will be booked into Spokane County Jail.
