SPOKANE, Wash – The holiday season is often described as the most magical time of the year, filled with warmth, joy, and the spirit of giving. For Corey Thomas, founder of Special Needs for Special Deeds (SDSN), this sentiment resonates deeply.

His inspiration for establishing this nonprofit stemmed from his son, Chace Thomas, and their shared passion for supporting children with special needs.

“We love helping special needs kids and we love seeing their reactions, seeing how happy they are,” said Chace Thomas.

SDSN has been making a significant impact by providing bedroom makeovers for kids with special needs. The organization believes in creating spaces that are not just functional but also bring a sense of comfort and joy to these children.

This weekend, SDSN has planned a event to celebrate the festive spirit and bring smiles to children’s faces. They are hosting a free Santa Pictures event at Appleway Florists in Spokane Valley.

Families are invited to join in on the fun where kids will have the opportunity to meet Santa Claus and capture magical moments through free pictures.

“Oh, it’s the most magical thing ever. It’s amazing. It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Who doesn’t want to meet Santa? I still do,” said Corey Thomas

Moreover, SDSN ensures that everyone attending the event gets a little treat to brighten their day. Kids will receive a free Happy Meal, while adults can indulge in a complimentary breakfast sandwich.

The event is scheduled for Saturday & Sunday Dec 9th & 10th from 11 AM to 3 PM. It’s an open invitation to the community, emphasizing inclusivity and the spirit of giving during this holiday season.
