Suspect arrested in connection to deadly shooting in northeast Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. — A suspect was arrested in connection to a deadly shooting in northeast Spokane last week.

On March 22, Spokane Police Department (SPD) officers responded to the area of Thor and Cleveland for a reported shooting. When officers arrived on the scene, SPD said there was an unresponsive man on the sidewalk who was immediately treated for their injuries. The victim died a short time later.

On March 23, detectives with the Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit arrested Daniel R. Quinn, 37, and booked him into the Spokane County Jail. Quinn faces charges of felony stalking and first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.

On March 25, detectives added a charge of second-degree murder in relation to the shooting.

This incident remains an active investigation.
