Spokane Valley robbery suspect arrested following public tips to police

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Spokane Valley Major Crimes Detectives arrested a 21-year-old man Friday afternoon in connection with an armed robbery at a local gas station.

Alexander B. Moore was taken into custody at approximately 1:20 p.m. at an apartment complex near Sinto Avenue and N. Pines Road. He faces first-degree robbery charges for allegedly robbing the Chevron Station at 1421 N. Pines Road on April 10 while armed with a knife.

Detectives identified Moore as a suspect through tips from the public. After developing probable cause, they located him at the apartment complex Friday, confirmed his identity and safely detained him.

Police executed a search warrant at Moore’s apartment with assistance from patrol deputies to collect evidence. Moore was then booked into the Spokane County Jail.

The Spokane Valley Police Department credited community members who provided tips to detectives. Officials said the public’s assistance was crucial in quickly identifying the suspect and led to his arrest Friday afternoon.
