SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane Valley Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a woman initially identified as a child playing in puddles for an active assault warrant on Sunday.

According to deputies, several calls to law enforcement reported that a child wearing pajamas was playing in puddles and crying loudly near Sprague.

When law enforcement responded, they found 31-year-old Danielle Fisher, who allegedly misidentified herself. She was reportedly not wearing shoes or a jacket, and medical personnel responded after deputies saw that she was covered in mud and not in adequate clothing for the cold weather.

Deputies say that Fisher eventually divulged her real identity to law enforcement, at which point deputies found that she was wanted for assault. She was arrested and an additional charge for making false statements was added to her preexisting assault charge.

Fisher is currently in Spokane County Jail.
