SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Valley Fire Department (SVFD) has hired Paul Kimball to serve as a Division Chief.
Kimball has been a firefighter with SVFD since 2004 according to the department.
SVFD Deputy Chief Tom Hatley expressed excitement for Kimball’s tenure.
“His leadership, professionalism, and expertise will help further the quality service our community has come to expect from their fire department,” Hatley said.
Wildland fire prevention is a focus of Kimball’s, who worked as an engineer, instructor and captain before being promoted to Division Chief.
Kimball’s hiring comes after a historically destructive fire season in Spokane County.
