On Feb. 14, at around 12:21 p.m., Spokane Tribal police were contacted after a Wellpinit Middle/ High School teacher found a clear plastic baggie with an unknown substance after doing a classroom sweep.

Tribal police arrived and performed a field test on the unknown substance, the test came back positive for a possible controlled substance. The Spokane tribal police sent the substance to the Washington State Crime Lab for more conclusive identification.

Tribal Police then brought in a K-9 drug detection dog to sweep the entire building which revealed no drugs or contraband were found on the premises.
