Spokane Symphony Chorale performs Beethoven’s 9th on New Year’s Eve

SPOKANE, Wash. — If you are looking for something to do on New Year’s Eve, Spokane Symphony Chorale will be performing Beethoven’s 9th at The Fox Theater in downtown Spokane.

On Dec. 31, there will be a 7:30 p.m. show to close out the new year and bring in the new!

Since 2008, performing Beethoven’s monumental work has been a tradition in Spokane. The concert will feature more than 150 performers on stage, including the Spokane Symphony Chorale.

Tickets are currently on sale on Vivid Seats, so if you are interested in attending make sure to get your ticket quickly. Currently, ticket prices range from $40 – $100. Doors at The Fox Theater will open at 6:30 p.m. with the show starting at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 31.

Beethoven’s 9th is about freedom, joy and unity with its crown jewel being “Ode to Joy.” James Lowe will be the conductor for the show with Dr. Meg Stohlmann as the chorale director.

If you want to continue your New Year’s Eve celebrations after the show, there will be an after party at the bar in The Knitting Factory. The bar will stay open for one hour after the concert. This event is free and comes with the purchase of your ticket to the show!

Guests will get to stay for a drink and have conversations with James Lowe and the Spokane Symphony orchestra musicians! Take a photo with friends and family in the photo booth to capture the last moments of 2023.
