SPOKANE, Wash. — A Spokane Public School student was taken to jail Thursday afternoon after officials said they brought a gun onto the school campus.
Principal at On Track Academy, released a letter to the parents describing what happened on campus on Jan. 25:
“Staff were made aware of a student in possession of a gun at school. Campus safety immediately responded to isolate the student and confiscate the weapon. Local law enforcement quickly responded and police are leading the investigation. My staff and I will support their efforts as needed.”
Spokane police have informed NonStop Local that the 18-year-old student has been booked into Spokane County Jail.
At this time, police have not released the teenagers identity as they work with On Track Academy.
