SPOKANE, Wash. — More traffic cameras are expected to be added in Washington cities and work zones after a recent bill was passed.
Drivers who break traffic laws, including running a red light, speeding, or not stopping at a crosswalk, are more likely to receive a ticket. This bill applies to cities with a population of half a million people and above.
School buses in counties with over a million and a half people can now install cameras on board as well.
Areas affected will see 30-day notice warning drivers what’s to come.
