SPOKANE, Wash.- The Spokane Police Department (SPD) is hosting Coffee with a Cop in the Garland District on Feb. 20.
The event, which will be hosted at an evangelical Church which rents out space to Pitotti Coffee Roasters during the week, happens to follow a span of January to early February in which there were more police shootings in Spokane County than the entirety of 2023.
In a statement on social media, the SPD encouraged members of the public to come enjoy a cup of coffee with a local law enforcement officer.
“Come enjoy a cup of coffee and conversation with SPD! We look forward to seeing you,” the post said.
SPD has hosted similar Coffee with a Cop events in which community members have been able to converse with law enforcement.
The opportunity to speak with an officer will be available from 9am to 11am.
