Spokane non-profit empowering community of athletes now needing support

SPOKANE, Wash. – Operation Healthy Family has been supporting Spokane’s athletes who lack access to costly training and services. Now, after years of giving, OHF seeks your support.

OHF is a non-profit that started back in 2011 helping and supporting athletes in Spokane that might not be able to afford expensive training and facilities to prepare them and train them.

One way they do this is through their Emmanuel Fitness Center inspired by the Matthew 1:23 verse meaning “God with us.” The fitness center was recently awarded with the Community Resilience Grant from Better Health Together to help fund the center.

Not only do they provide exceptional training facilities they also give back by providing dental care through the Good News Dental Clinic. A faith based non-profit dental clinic teaming up with the same mission as OHF to provide “services for all community members regardless of their background and financial circumstances.”

OHF’s dedication to community betterment is evident through their extensive outreach. Athletes from various schools in Spokane, including Ferris, LC, and St. George’s, have benefited from their programs.

North Central has experienced significant success, with OHF providing free training scholarships to many players on the NC boys’ basketball team. Leading NC to a top 10 state ranking by MaxPreps and is set to participate in the upcoming state tournament at the Tacoma Dome this Tuesday.

To help sustain their impactful work and services they are providing for the youth and athletes in the Spokane community, they are actively looking for monthly lifeline donors to support their scholarship programs.

Your support, regardless of the donation amount, helps contribute to OHF’s mission of giving back to the community.
