Spokane mayor-elect Lisa Brown announces new members of her leadership team

SPOKANE, Wash. — Mayor-elect Lisa Brown has announced the individuals who will be filling leadership positions in her administration.

Brown was sworn into office on Wednesday, Dec. 27 and she will take office on Jan. 2. The following individuals who will serve on leadership positions in her administration include:

Erin Hut as Director of Communications and MarketingSteven MacDonald as Director of Community and Economic DevelopmentDavid Moss as Director of Human ResourcesMike Sloon as Interim Chief Innovation and Technology OfficerSarah Nuss as Director of Emergency ManagementAlex Scott as Chief of StaffJason Conley as Interim Director of Parks and RecreationMarlene Feist as Director of Public WorksAndrew Chase as Executive Director of Spokane Public Libraries

“Spokane deserves both new voices and steady management. The leadership team we are building will bring valuable expertise and fresh thinking to city government,” said Brown. “I am proud and grateful to be assembling a diverse team of professionals dedicated to charting a better way for Spokane.”

At this time, 11 of the 14 leadership roles announced by Lisa Brown are people who have worked in city government. This includes:

Mike Piccolo as City AttorneyGarrett Jones as Interim City AdministratorJerrall Haynes as Director of the Office of Civil Rights, Equity and InclusionJustin Lundgren as Interim Chief of PoliceMaggie Yates as Assistant City Administrator.
