Spokane is ranked as the 5th least stressful city to work in America

SPOKANE, Wash. – In a study recently posted by LLC.org, Spokane was ranked as the fifth least stressful city in America to work in.

Long commute times, slow income growth, and shorter weekends can all contribute to our work-life balance. Americans spend much of their daily lives at work, and according to this study, the burden of daily stress is not equal among cities in the U.S.This particular study looked at a few factors that include stress in the work week: average weekly work hours, commute duration, the proportion of early commuters, accessibility to remote work options, prevalence of single-income households, income growth rates, uninsured employee rates, and each city’s crime statistics were all considered.Spokane was ranked 5th for least stressful cities to work in, and the numbers and factors show us why. The average working hours in a week for residents of Spokane are 35.5. The average commute for people working non-remotely in Spokane is about 21 minutes, which is a whole 5 minutes shorter than the national average.Washington also had an honorable mention in the study for higher year-over-year income growth compared to the national average of over 7%.
