Spokane homeowners could see spike in taxes if levies in special election pass

SPOKANE, Wash. – This week, Spokane County will vote on special elections and school levies. The ballot will offer 32 different opportunities to vote, many focusing on taxation and funding.

Sixteen school districts, including notable ones like Mead School District and Spokane School District, will be featured on the ballot.

These districts are advocating for improvements in educational programs, safety measures, technology, and athletics.

It’s important to note that election ballot drop boxes close at 8 p.m. on Feb. 13. For those opting to mail in their ballot, it must be postmarked no later than Feb. 13.
