Spokane Fire Department offers update on violent car crash

SPOKANE, Wash.- The Spokane Fire Department is offering new information on a Feb. 19 car crash at the intersection of East Sprague and Myrtle which resulted in an overturned car and two hospitalizations.

According to the department, an Audi SUV speeding eastbound through the intersection was at fault for the collision. Police had been warned that the Audi was driving recklessly before the crash.

Both drivers needed to be extricated from their cars by emergency response. While both of the drivers were hospitalized, neither sustained major injuries.

Photos released by the fire department illustrate the extent of the damage to both vehicles and show the department’s response to the incident.
