Spokane County prepares for snow and frigid temperatures

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – With more snow and dangerously low temperatures in the forecast, county crews are preparing for what is to come.

According to a news release from Spokane County, road crews will start clearing Priority 1 areas, which are described as emergency routes and major arterials. Then move to Priority 2, which is secondary arterials.

Once snow starts falling, crews will plow, deice and place sand when necessary. To track the snow plow process here.

Drivers are advised to be cautious when driving and to check for conditions.

The county recommends that drivers have emergency supplies in their vehicles, such as a windshield scraper, shovel, flashlight/batteries, phone charger, etc.
