SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane County Library District (SCLD) will host a series of discussions about the Lilac City’s Expo ‘74 in the coming months.
SCLD will celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the world’s first environmental Expo by exhibiting memorabilia from community members. The library system will also collect videos of locals sharing their stories from the World’s Fair.
In partnership with the League of Women Voters, dialogues about the environmental theme of Expo ‘74 will take place at six libraries around the county throughout May and June.
SCLD also shared a list of books about environmental awareness for the public.
The memorabilia exhibit will collect items from April 1 to May 10 and be shared with the public throughout July at county libraries.
