COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – Buddhist venerables Sangye Khadro, Thubten Ngawang and Thubten Gyatso will visit North Idaho College on April 2 and 3.
Khadro, an ordained nun and who has been a spiritual leader for over four decades, will discuss the challenges of caring for others with compassion. The seminar will take place on April 2 at 6:30 pm.
Ngawang and Gyatso, who are also ordained members of their monastic community, will visit the North Idaho campus the next day at 1 pm to discuss how to bridge differences with empathy.
All three venerables are from the Sravasti Abbey, a monastery in Newport.
