SPOKANE, Wash. — The 20th annual Lilac City Comicon is scheduled for June 6-7 at the Spokane Convention Center.
The event is the largest comic book and pop culture convention in Eastern Washington, drawing more than 10,000 attendees, according to organizers.
Lilac City Comicon is an all-ages event featuring more than 300 exhibitors and artists in an 85,000-square-foot exhibit hall. Vendors will offer comics, collectibles, toys, art, books, games, props and instructional panels.
The convention also includes cosplay contests, with an adult competition set for Saturday at 5 p.m. and a kids contest on Sunday at 3 p.m.
Organizers say the event will collect nonperishable food items benefiting “Our Place Community Outreach”. In addition, 25% of merchandise sales will support the Jesse Acosta Memorial Art Scholarship Fund for incoming art students at Spokane Falls Community College.
