WASHINGTON, D.C.-Got a sweet tooth? Candy lovers are being advised to stop buying and eating all roller ball candy due to a choking hazard.

The death of one child from the candy was reported last year and another child underwent emergency surgery to remove the candy’s roller ball from their throat, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Roller ball candy dispenses a flavored liquid onto the tongue, however, the ball can dislodge and become trapped in a child’s throat, posing a fatal choking risk, according to the safety warning from the CPSC.
