SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A rockslide on US-195 south of Hatch Road caused all southbound lanes to close early Thursday morning.

At 1 a.m. on Jan. 25, a rockslide occurred on US-195 just south of Hatch Road. All southbound lanes were fully blocked due to large boulders in the roadway.

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) crews arrived on scene and were able to work quickly to clear the rocks.

Around 2 a.m., all southbound lanes were reopened and were pushed to the side of the roadway.

At this time, WSDOT has not released what caused the slide and fortunately no one was on the roadway at the time.
