SPOKANE, Wash. — River City Youth is inviting you to help restore pollinator habitats through Spokane’s West Central neighborhood this month.
The River City Youth Monarch Pathway Project will host two upcoming community planting days to kick off this long-term, youth-led effort to create a network of native plant spaces to support pollinators.
The first planting day is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19 at 1832 West Dean Avenue from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
All ages and experience levels are welcome. Community members with their own gloves and trowels are encouraged to bring them.
More materials and guidance will be provided by River City Youth staff and interns.
If you can’t make it to this planting day, there is another one scheduled for Tuesday, May 26 at 1431 North Belt Street.
