BOISE, Idaho- A procession transporting the body of Captain Benjamin Moulton, who died in a helicopter crash during a training exercise in California on Feb. 6, delivered the marine from Boise to his hometown of Emmet today.

The route began at the Boise airport where the body was received and culminated in a ceremony at Emmett City Park.

Idaho State Police, who monitored the procession, articulated their appreciation for Moulton in a social media post.

“With solemn reflection and remembrance, ISP stands in honor of Captain Ben Moulton’s enduring legacy and extends our gratitude to the community for their support and understanding during this solemn occasion,” ISP said.

Moulton was 27 years old and had family in Emmet. Idaho Governor Brad Little ordered flags to be flown at half-staff from Feb. 9 and 14 to honor the deceased marine.

Members of the public were invited to wear red, white and blue garb and display American flags along the route to honor the occasion.
