AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. – The Airway Heights Police Department and West Plains Community Adventist Church removed a trash pile which had been abandoned in a field near a local neighborhood.
The local church aided in the cleanup in addition to two passersby who wanted to help remove the debris.
Corporal Adam Johnson thanked the community for their help addressing the problem off Craig Road.
The field is now clean.
Illegal dumping is a crime in Washington State which can result in up to a $5,000 fine.
